Fewer Barriers is an independent, free project operated by Ciarán Paul Roche. Its reading, instruction, call-sheet, and request tools process what you enter inside your browser. The project does not receive, save, sell, or use those words to build a profile about you.
What you type stays in this browser tab while you use it.
No account, text database, advertising, or behavioral analytics. Optional page measurement requires consent.
Your device or browser may use an online voice service.
The reading view, instruction stepper, call sheet, confirmation note, and request builder run locally in your browser. The tools do not send those words to Fewer Barriers, an AI model, or a Fewer Barriers database. The tools do not write them to browser storage. Use the Forget control to remove them from the page; browser history, extensions, and tab-restoration settings remain outside this project’s control.
Your browser, device, clipboard manager, extensions, or accessibility software may have their own history or data practices. Those systems are outside this project’s control.
Like almost every public website, the infrastructure that delivers this site may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser or device information, the requested page, time, and security events. This can be necessary to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep it reliable.
Fewer Barriers does not use that technical information for advertising, data brokerage, or behavioral profiling. Hosting providers may retain limited operational or security logs under their own practices and legal duties.
Fewer Barriers does not run advertising, marketing trackers, or behavioral analytics. Google Analytics is completely unloaded unless you choose “Allow analytics.” If allowed, it records page views and ordinary engagement information such as the page address and title, referring site, approximate location, and browser or device type. It does not receive or inspect what you type into a tool.
Advertising storage, Google signals and ad-personalisation signals remain disabled. Automatic site-search and form-interaction measurement are also disabled. Consent is the legal basis. You can decline without losing any feature and can change or withdraw your choice through the “Privacy choices” button; withdrawal also removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this site.
Google may process Analytics data in the United States and other countries under its data-processing terms and applicable transfer safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Analytics section updated August 31, 2026.
Read aloud uses the browser’s Web Speech capability. Depending on your device, browser, operating system, and selected voice, spoken text may be sent to a service operated by that provider. Fewer Barriers does not choose or operate that voice service.
If your text is sensitive and you do not know whether your voice works offline, do not use the Listen control. The rest of the reader works without speech. The other tools do not use speech.
Links to standards bodies and other websites have their own privacy practices. That includes the separate Freedom From Clutter, Ben Franklin Close, and Ensnarled websites, which publish their own privacy notices for the tools they host. If you email us, your message is handled by your email provider and ours. Please describe the problem without pasting private or sensitive letter text into the email.
Because there is no account and the tools do not receive what you type, Fewer Barriers normally has no tool text to provide, correct, or delete. For a privacy question—or to ask about an email you sent—contact us at CiaranPaulRoche@gmail.com.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date on this page will change. We will not quietly turn locally processed words into remotely processed words.
